Ready to survive?

Zombies shuffle in from the right, each carrying a word. Type it to stop them — let four through and you're done.

How to play

Zombies shuffle in from the right side of the screen, each one labeled with a common English word. Start typing that word and the zombie carrying it lights up letter by letter, in real time — finish the word before it reaches the red zone on the left to stop it and score points. Every 20 seconds is a new wave: zombies move faster and spawn more often, so the pressure keeps building rather than staying flat. Let four through and it's game over, with a results screen showing your score, the wave you reached, and your longest combo streak — shareable as an image if you want to challenge someone to beat it.

Common questions

How do I play Zombie Survival?

Zombies shuffle in from the right side of the screen, each one labeled with a word. Start typing that word and the zombie carrying it lights up letter by letter — finish the word before it reaches the red zone on the left to stop it and score points. Let four zombies through and it's game over.

How does scoring and the combo multiplier work?

Each zombie you stop scores points based on the word's length, multiplied by your current combo streak. The streak builds with every zombie stopped in a row and resets to zero the moment one gets through, so survival matters as much as raw speed.

Does the game get harder?

Yes — every 20 seconds is a new wave, and each wave spawns zombies faster and moves them at higher speed. Your wave number is shown live, and it's tracked as part of your final score.

Can I change the difficulty?

Yes — Easy, Medium and Hard sit above the board. Easy hands you a fourth life and lets the horde shuffle in slowly; Hard takes a life away and has them closing on you noticeably faster. Whichever you pick is remembered for next time, and each setting keeps its own personal best, so an Easy run never flatters your Hard score. The buttons lock once a round is under way.

Is my score saved anywhere?

Your best score for each difficulty is kept in your own browser's local storage, so you always have a number to beat. It never reaches us — there is no account, no leaderboard and no server involved. Clearing your browsing data or playing in a private window will wipe it, and a different phone or laptop starts you from scratch.
