The short version

Every tool on Quezlo does its work inside your own browser. The text, numbers, images and PDF files you put into a tool are never sent to us and never stored on a server we run.

That is not the whole picture, though, and it would be misleading to stop there. Quezlo is a website, and loading a website means your browser talks to other companies: our host, Google’s advertising and analytics services, Google Fonts, and — for the background-removal tools only — a public code and model host. Those companies can see ordinary connection information such as your IP address, your browser and device type, and which page you requested. This page explains all of it.

1. What you enter into the tools

Input entered into any tool on this site is processed entirely inside your browser using JavaScript — the text you paste into a counter or formatter, the contact and Wi-Fi details you encode into a QR code, the figures you type into a calculator, the invoice details you fill in, and every image and PDF you open in the image and PDF tools, including the AI background remover. None of it is transmitted to, received by, or stored on any server operated by this site.

This applies to files as well as text. Images and PDFs are read by your browser from your own disk; they are not uploaded anywhere.

2. What is stored on your own device

A few tools use your browser’s local storage so that settings and progress survive a page refresh:

  • your light or dark theme choice;
  • the word counter’s current draft and word-count target;
  • sound on or off in the typing tools;
  • your best score in each typing test and memory game.

All of it sits on your own device only, is never sent anywhere, and is removed when you clear your browser data or use your browser’s “clear site data” option for this site.

3. Hosting and server logs

This site is hosted by Netlify. Like every web host, Netlify processes your request in order to serve the page, and keeps standard access logs. Those logs can include your IP address, the page or file requested, the time of the request, your browser and operating system as reported in the request headers, and the referring page. This is ordinary connection data that any website necessarily receives; it is held by Netlify for delivery, security and operational purposes under their own privacy terms.

To be explicit about the distinction: what you type into a tool is never sent to the host. The fact that a browser at a given IP address requested a given page is.

Netlify Real User Monitoring. Netlify offers a performance feature called Real User Monitoring. When it is switched on for a site, Netlify injects a small script into the pages of the production site that reports Core Web Vitals measurements — how quickly the page rendered, how soon it became interactive, and how much the layout shifted — so the site owner can see how the site actually performs for real visitors. It measures page performance; it does not read anything you type into a tool. Netlify’s own documentation for the feature states that once enabled it does not require cookies in your browser. The request that delivers those measurements is still an ordinary web request, so technical connection information such as your IP address and browser headers is involved, as it is for every other request described in this section.

This feature is switched on and off from the Netlify dashboard rather than from anything in the site’s own code. If the site owner turns it off under Site configuration → Monitoring → Real User Monitoring, the script is no longer injected and no such measurements are collected.

4. The contact form

The contact form is handled by Netlify Forms. If you submit it, the name, email address, subject and message you provide are transmitted to and stored by Netlify so that the site owner can read and reply to them.

The form also offers an optional screenshot attachment. If you attach a file, that file is uploaded to Netlify along with the rest of the form. This is the one place on the entire site where a file you choose does leave your device, and it only happens if you deliberately attach one. Please do not attach anything containing information you would not want to share — blank out personal or client details in a screenshot first.

Form submissions are used only to respond to your enquiry. They are not sold, rented, or added to any marketing list.

Retention: submissions remain in the Netlify Forms inbox for this site until they are deleted. A fixed retention period has not yet been set. If you would like a message you sent removed, ask through the contact form and it will be deleted.

5. Google AdSense and advertising cookies

This site may display advertising served by third-party ad networks, including Google AdSense. Where it does:

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites.
  • Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and other sites on the internet.
  • You can opt out of personalised advertising through Google Ads Settings, or opt out of a third-party vendor’s use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info.

Loading an ad means your browser contacts Google’s advertising servers, which receive your IP address, user-agent and the page the ad is shown on. Advertising is not shown on the error page, the contact page, the form thank-you page, or the two redirect pages used by the QR code generator.

6. Google Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-5XLGLLLWTM) to see which pages are visited and roughly where visitors come from. Analytics is used in aggregate and is never connected to anything you enter into a tool.

We do not claim this is fully anonymous. Google Analytics processes your IP address in order to derive an approximate location, and it sets an identifier in your browser so that repeat visits within a session can be counted. Google acts as a data processor for this and describes its own handling in the Google Privacy Policy. Where consent is required, analytics storage is denied until you allow it.

7. Google Fonts

Pages on this site load typefaces from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com). Your browser makes a request to Google to fetch those font files, and Google receives your IP address and browser headers as part of that request.

8. The background-removal tools

The AI background remover and bulk background remover run an open machine-learning model directly in your browser. Your images are still never uploaded. However, the first time you use one of these tools, your browser downloads the runtime and the model files from two public services:

  • jsDelivr, a public CDN, for the Transformers.js runtime;
  • Hugging Face, for the open onnx-community/ormbg-ONNX model weights.

Those downloads are ordinary file requests, and those providers receive your IP address and browser headers as a result. They do not receive your image. Files are then cached by your browser, so later use of the tool works without contacting them again.

9. Cookies and your choices

Quezlo itself sets no cookies. Cookies on this site come from Google’s advertising and analytics services, described above.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Doing so will not break any tool here, because no tool needs a cookie to work.

This site implements Google Consent Mode v2, and the starting state depends on where you are:

  • If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, advertising storage, analytics storage, ad personalisation and ad user data all start denied on every page load. They are only enabled if a consent notice records your permission.
  • Elsewhere, those signals start granted, which is the ordinary default for advertising and analytics outside those consent regimes. You can still block or delete cookies in your browser, and you can turn off ad personalisation at the Google account level through Google Ads Settings.

10. Visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, applicable law requires your consent before advertising and analytics cookies are set and before personalised advertising is used. Where advertising is served, a Google-certified consent management platform presents that choice, and your answer updates the consent signals described above.

You may change or withdraw your choice at any time through the consent notice, and you can additionally use Google Ads Settings to control personalisation at the Google account level.

11. What we do not do

  • There are no user accounts, so there is nothing to sign up for and no profile to build.
  • Tool input is never uploaded, logged or reviewed.
  • Nothing you enter is sold, and there is no mailing list.
  • There is no server-side database of any kind behind this site.

12. Children

This site is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent personal information through the contact form, get in touch and it will be deleted.

13. Links to other sites

This site links to external resources, including reference sources on the health and finance calculators and a voluntary support page. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of sites we link to.

14. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated from time to time. The date at the top of the page shows the most recent revision.

15. Contact

Questions about this policy, or a request to delete something you sent through the form, can be sent through the contact form.
