How to play
Meteors fall from the top of the screen, each one labeled with a common English word. Start typing that word and the meteor carrying it lights up letter by letter, in real time — finish the word before it reaches the red zone at the bottom to destroy it and score points. Every 20 seconds is a new wave: meteors fall faster and spawn more often, so the game keeps building in intensity rather than staying at one flat difficulty. Land four misses and it's game over, with a results screen showing your score, the wave you reached, and your longest combo streak — shareable as an image if you want to challenge someone to beat it.

How does scoring and the combo multiplier work?
Each destroyed meteor scores points based on the word's length, multiplied by your current combo streak. The streak builds with every meteor you destroy in a row and resets to zero the moment one gets past you, so staying alive matters as much as typing fast.
Does the game get harder?
Yes — every 20 seconds is a new wave, and each wave spawns meteors faster and drops them at higher speed. Your wave number is shown live, and it's tracked as part of your final score.
Can I change the difficulty?
Yes — Easy, Medium and Hard sit above the sky. Easy grants an extra life and lets the meteors fall slowly; Hard strips one away and drops them fast enough that a mistyped word usually costs you. Your setting is remembered between visits, and each difficulty stores its own best score, so an Easy defence is never measured against a Hard one. The buttons lock while a round is live.
Is my score saved anywhere?
Your best defence on each difficulty is written to your browser's local storage, so it survives between visits. It is never transmitted anywhere and there is no account behind it. Clearing site data removes it, a private window will not retain it, and switching to another device gives you a fresh set of scores.
