How the split works
The tip is worked out on the full bill first — bill × tip percentage ÷ 100 — then added to get the total. That total is divided evenly across however many people you set, so each share includes both their portion of the food and their portion of the tip.

What percentage should I tip?
Norms vary a lot by country and by service type, roughly 15-20% for table service in the US, often nothing or a small round-up elsewhere. There's no universal right answer — the presets cover the most common range.
Does the tip get split before or after dividing by people?
